One, 10 January 1915, is from Marie Elizabeth, the princess of Saxe-Meiningen, to her friend, Alice Leigh, giving family news during the war; another, 26 June 1915, is from Louis Raemaekers (1869-1956), an artist in Haarlem, Holland, to a New Zealander, expressing his views on the war; and the third is a telegram, 8 January 1916, from Gutzon Borglum (1871-1941), sculptor and author, to the Reverend Worth Marion Tippy (b. 1867) on a plan to end all war.
